The Last Star Slammer. by andrew robinson

So many artists to choose from, but there's one comic book artist I've loved since I was a kid and I have never outgrown his work. In 1983 Walt Simonson defined graphic novels for me
with Star Slammers. It's a Marvel Graphic Novel, #6. If you haven't seen it you must check it out. It's incredible. Walt has such an energy to his drawings and such a great sense of design. I've been learning from him for years. So here's to you Walt Simonson. Thanks.

DAmn, brother. This is an awesome piece. Still remember when you could see Walt's influence in your early work. The guy still has mad skills. Hopefully a new generation will experience his greatness when he draws the Avengers soon.
peace,
Herc

Star Slammers blew me away when it came out..... That and Walt's Alien movie adaptation are two of my favorite graphic novels of all time, the Alien book being one of the very best movie adaptations ever done! Great piece..............

This piece has more visual power than a lot of action packed comics covers. Somehow you nailed it :)
